Women’s Basketball Team Wins 11th Straight Game

 

The women’s basketball team (14-5) earned its 11th straight victory, defeating Clinton Community College (13-5) 65-44 on Thursday.

The Vikings jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Stacey Salisbury (Schenectady/ Schenectady) had another impressive game recording 13 points and 15 rebounds. Arianna Youngs (Lansingburgh/Lansingburgh) had a game high 19 points along with seven steals.

The women’s next game is on Athletics Community Day, Saturday, Feb. 5, when they play host to Mohawk Valley Community College at 3 p.m.

The game will be a showdown between the top two teams in the conference. The Vikings won the last meeting earlier this season by a slim, two-point margin.
